Design is omnipresent within today’s scenario. It’s become an important a part of our lives. Design touches everything surrounding us. It’s apparent in every sense that style has its impact on today’s lifestyle during a plethora of forms. The day-to-day objects, ranging from the primary thing we do once we awaken, ending within the last item we do before getting to sleep. It’s present altogether of our interactions with the external world. Design affects us in every possible way. It affects our sense of well-being.

On the opposite hand, design has become an important a part of all organizational functioning also. Design has become an integral a part of any organization’s strategic language. Design is not any longer just a tangible thing, it’s a philosophy and an idea process. The above mentioned developments cause the apparent emphasis on Design education from all sectors of the society.

Over the last twenty years , we’ve seen huge thrust on Design education from the govt . it’s equally prioritized by the education ministry also because the industry. it’s a win-win proposition for both to propagate and promote the cause.The role of design for industrial competitiveness at both national also as international platform has been universally recognized for over a decade. The strategy towards design education is concentrated on encouraging the mixing of design education system with the industries of all scales and across geographical boundaries. Facilitating these activities will call upon the active involvement of industry and designers within the development of the planning profession, branding and positioning of Indian design within India and overseas. It’s a longtime framework of the ‘Indian design education policy’ to facilitate the creation of original Indian designs in products and services drawing upon India’s rich craft traditions and cultural heritage. the thought is for the budding designers to be engaged within the process contemporising traditional craft products for commercialization during a broad spectrum of niche markets.
