Essential Guide to gear for UX Designers

Ever since the computer got introduced to the world, there has been no uniform pattern as to

how people will engage with different types of content. As time progressed, more and more people have researched and worked upon the way content can be made more engaging and easy to understand for the consumers. Studying the way how different things affect people and being able to design that digitally is what UX designers do in general. Their job is to ensure that the design they are creating is easy to use and attracts the consumer’s attention. UX Designers have a deep understanding of design technology and human psychology. But that’s, not the only thing that makes a design great. And most importantly, UX design is not just about creating the right design. It is not restricted to only the aesthetics of the design.

A UX Designer will ensure that their design is intuitive, even for the people who are not very knowledgable about the fast-changing technology. It is aimed at creating a blueprint towards the product’s experience. They would create an outline and validate the values that the end-users would get. After a project is released, it is on the UX designer to collect the data and understand the consumer engagement and further improve the designs.

The UX design is based on certain principles and guides that a UX designer must know when they are on a project. It requires design thinking which means being able to collaborate between the customers and exploring possibilities to create a structure and develop ideas. Once they are done, it is essential to test the ideas and be able to accept the feedback for the same. Furthermore, UX Designer’s goal is to answer questions as to how the users will be able to use the product before actually getting the product in real life.

At the same time, UX Design is not restricted to digital products only. UX Design has many branches and can also be used in the products and services offered. Majorly, UX Design is a practical application of observation, analysis and user’s engagement with a digital product. It is a massive field with multiple opportunities revolving around the user’s experience by user research, information gathering, content strategy and much more.

What Are The Principles Of UX Design?

UX Design is an ever-changing field as it is based on human creativity. However, there are some fundamentals of the UX Design that are common to all and must be followed by all designers. Besides, designers also have to understand what they want to visualise with their design. They must be transparent with how they want to showcase their ideas. The principles of UX Design are as follows:

Context

As a designer, you must ensure that the users know where they are moving forward to. They should always have clarity regarding the following steps, so they are not lost or confused with your design. If the users get confused or are overwhelmed with the content, there are chances they won’t engage with it again.

In order to do so, you must have clarity yourself. As a UX Designer, it is crucial for you to sketch your design outline. It will help you make an outline of the outcome that you are expecting from your design. You must check out our sketchpad here.

Maintain Brand’s Personality

Even though it’s all digital, no one wants to feel that they are talking to a machine. Your design or the website should be organized in such a way that the user can understand the brand’s personality. Users must be enabled to approach the website. The best way to do it is to keep making notes. Keep jotting down everything that comes to your head. Check out our personal journal to help organize your ideas!

Findable

No one wants to waste their time, especially your users. When you are designing a website, you must remember that the user’s time is more valuable than yours. If they feel that something is taking too long or they are not able to understand the next steps or they can’t find help, they wouldn’t want to engage with your website. A successful UX Design must ensure that the design is easy to navigate.

Ease

Your design aims to keep the audience engaged for as long as possible. So the more comfortable, consistent and straightforward your design is, more the audience is likely to come back. Since it’s all digital, you technically cannot always maintain an in-person relationship with your users. So your only interaction with your audience is through your design. It should be able to put the audience at ease by providing accessible and enjoyable experiences.

Consistency

It is extremely important to be consistent with your content. No one wants to have one monotonous design every time they come back. With changing times, the way people interact with designs is also changing. So it’s imperative for you as a designer to keep yourself open to new ideas and content. You should be able to study the new ideas, changing trends and apply them in your design and further upgrade your website. Keep upgrading yourself and sketching new ideas with wireframe sketchpad.

In the end, UX Design is centred around the user’s experience. The aim of any UX design to be able to engage the audience with the content. UX Design also plays a significant role in making sales for the business. While UX Design is a broad perspective, you can learn all about it with our guide at Imaginxp.
